Insect Spirit!
Insect Spirit explores the psychology of human nature through the symbolic and metaphorical use of bugs. There are many parallels between the lives of humans and bugs, and just like there are many different kinds of people, there are many different kinds of bugs. We are all versions of each other, and yet incredibly individualistic and special in our own ways. Even though we are different forms of life, we have grown our societies in similar ways, from our social structures, to communication, and adaptability. Bugs may even outlive us one day, but for now we coexist and remember, you’re always within five feet of a spider.

This world is a reflection of the abstracted reality we create for ourselves. Just as my bugs navigate this textile environment, we navigate the realities we construct for ourselves-shaped by emotions, creativity, and solitude.

Emotional Buggage explores the weight we carry—both seen and unseen —through an eccentric, bug-inspired design. Drawing inspiration from how certain bugs carry their lives on their backs—be it their homes, food, or protection—this piece symbolizes resilience, adaptability, and the beauty of imperfection. It reminds us that, while we are not defined by what we carry, our personal "baggage" becomes an integral part of our journey, shaping who we are.
This transformative bag evolves with the wearer, offering multiple ways to be styled and worn, much like our actions and identities, which are constantly shifting and open to interpretation. Emotional Buggage invites wearers to embrace change and celebrate individuality.
